Imagination Mover's Party Script

Last night we celebrated Colby's 5th birthday with an Imagination Movers party. Yesterday my parents came into town and took the boys out all day to allow me time to transform our house into the Imagination Mover's "Warehouse" (I am kicking myself for not getting pictures of everything before the party got started, oh well). Colby and the guests arrived at 5:30 and were given their official Movers name badge. For those of you who have never experienced an Imagination Movers Party here is an actual transcript from the party:
Me: Ok Movers, are you ready to get this party started!!!!

Kids: Yeah!!!!
Me: Movers, I have an "Idea Emergency" that I need your help with. Today is Colby's 5th birthday and I need you to help throw Colby an "Exciting" Birthday Party! Do you think you could help me do that?
Kids: YEAH!!!!
Me: Well here is a map of the "Warehouse" lets look to see if we have any rooms that could help us throw Colby a birthday party:

Me: You can see that the Warehouse has a Dressing Room, Balloon Room. Noisy Room, Eating Room, and Gift Room.
Me: The first thing we have to do for Colby's party is get dressed for the birthday party. Which room do you think we should go to to get dressed for the birthday party?
Kids: THE DRESSING ROOM!!!!! (the kids take off running to the dressing room!)

Once inside the Dressing Room:

Me: We got to put on our party hat to go to Colby's Birthday Party so you can each decorate your own party hat however you want.

(Inside the party room there are foam visors for each guest to decorate)

Me: Alright Movers now that we have our party hats on, the next thing we need to do to get ready for Colby's party is to decorate. Do we have any rooms in the warehouse that we could use to decorate with?

Kids: THE BALLOON ROOM!!!! they take off running!

Once inside the Balloon Room:

Me: Each of you find the one balloon with your name on it!

(inside the balloon room there were about 75 helium and nonhelium balloons. Big thanks to DH and PaPa for blowing up the balloons!!)

Me: Alright now that we have decorated for Colby's party. What else do you usually do at a Birthday Party?

Kids: Lots of things were shouted out, and among one of the answers was.... EAT!!!!

Me: That's right, Eat. Where do you think we should go to eat?

Kids: THE EATING ROOM!!!!

Inside the Eating Room:

Menu: Chick Fillet nuggets, fruit salad, chips and dip, and Sugar Free Fruit Punch

Me: Movers! Is there anything else we should eat at a Birthday Party?

Kids: CAKE!!!

Me: But what are we suppose to do before we eat cake?

Kids: SING HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Me: Well you know the Movers love to play instruments when they sing, where do you think we should go to find some instruments?

Kids: THE NOISY ROOM!!!

Inside the Noisy Room:

Me: Let's all find an instrument to play while we sing "Happy Birthday" to Colby.

(Inside the noisy room were various musical instruments as well as toy flutes, whistles, and maracas for each child for party favors)

Me: Take your musical instrument and lets go back to the Eating Room for cake!

After Cake:

Me: Movers! (showing the map) Where else should we visit for Colby's Birthday?

Kids: THE GIFT ROOM!!!!!

Inside the Gift Room:

Me: (looking at clock and panicked that we had 30 more minutes left before parents arrived) Let's go outside!!!!

Outside Gammy led the kids in a balloon relay game!

Colby: That was the best party ever!!! Next year can I have an "Underdog Party!"

  1. how cuute! My son will be 2 next but we are in the process of moving so the individual rooms wouldn't work for us..but it was a great idea. Good job! It looks like the kids had a great time!
